11th Focus on Practice Meeting
ABOUT
Jenny Zeller, head of Deutsche Bahn Academy, is so kind to host our upcoming Focus on Practice meeting. It will take place on January 23-24 2019 at the Academy's main venue, the old imperial railway station ("Kaiserbahnhof") in Potsdam near Berlin.
We will continue our conversation about the disruptive forces that shape the future of the mobility space – this time learning about the challenges and strategic-organizational responses of one of the world's largest logistics companies.
PROGRAM
The 11th Focus on practice meeting is a great opportunity to deep-dive into the learning and transformation challenges of Deutsche Bahn, with special emphasis on the changing role of HR and the interplay of L&D with other units that help to drive innovation and change. In particular, we will tackle questions such as
- how to support a workforce of 300,000 people on their way to the digital future?
- what is the role and contribution of IT-related efforts in the overall scenario of digital transformation? How does it relate to L&D
- How to best structure the collaboration with various entities that drive change?
In addition to the above, we will also have the opportunity to discuss with Jenny and her team how they experience the first months of working as a holacracy – a bold move the DB Academy took earlier this year.
As always at our FOP meetings, we will leverage the experiences of our host by comparing them with practices and ideas from other ECLF companies.

The meeting is free of charge for ECLF members.
Guests from member companies pay a 50% discounted fee of USD 600.
Guests from non-member companies pay a nominal fee of USD 1,200
